Renteninformation, Rentenauskunft or Rentenbescheid: identify your pension letter
A letter showing a pension figure is not necessarily a pension award. Start with its heading and purpose before interpreting the amount.
Renteninformation: information and projections
This letter provides information and a projection based on assumptions. A future figure is not an already approved monthly payment. Identify whether your question concerns the insurance record or the assumptions used for the projection.
Rentenauskunft: more detailed information
This provides more detailed information about your insurance account and possible pensions. Compare the date and periods used. Keep supporting pages with the main letter so that the figures remain connected with their explanation.
Rentenbescheid: read the decision
Following an application, the pension decision communicates the outcome. Read the start date, calculation attachments and explanatory notes rather than relying on the first figure. Ask a competent advice service or qualified legal adviser promptly about uncertainty concerning appeal instructions.
Organise three parts of your file
Separate information letters, submitted applications with receipts and decisions. Note when a letter arrived, list your questions and keep every page. A photograph of the first page alone may not provide enough context.
How our service can help
Rentenanspruch.com helps organise documents and prepare clear questions. Your first enquiry can name the type of letter without sending sensitive paperwork. Legal representation or assessment of an appeal is not automatically included in a document package.
Frequently asked questions
Is a projection a guaranteed payment?
No. A projection and an awarded pension are different.
Which pages should I keep?
The complete letter, attachments and a note of when it arrived.
Can I enquire without uploading documents?
Yes. Briefly describe the letter and your question first.
